Contract milling and hardwood timber supplies
Double Creek Excavations & Rural Contracting runs a portable sawmill that comes to your site, so logs can be milled where they are instead of being carted away. We also supply hardwood timber.

A portable mill that comes to you
Our portable swing-blade sawmill can be moved and set up on different sites, so it is not stuck in one position. That makes it practical to mill logs from cleared land, fallen trees or trees that had to come down.
We offer contract milling across Calliope, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Biloela, Agnes Water, Monto and surrounding areas, for rural, residential, commercial and industrial clients.
Need timber but do not have logs? We also supply hardwood timber. Get in touch with what you need and we will let you know what is available.
Milling and timber we can help with
Contract milling on site
We bring the portable mill to your logs and mill them on site.
Fallen or removed trees
Trees that have come down in a storm or been removed for clearing can often be turned into useful timber.
Hardwood timber supplies
We supply hardwood timber. Tell us the sizes and quantities you need and we will let you know what is available.
Posts, beams and boards
Logs can be milled into practical sizes such as posts, beams and boards, depending on the log.
Timber for fencing and entries
Milled hardwood can be used for fencing, property entries and other projects around the property.
Combined with tree work
Milling can be combined with our tree lopping and removal, land clearing and rural contracting work.

Get more out of your timber
Good logs do not have to end up as firewood or green waste. Milling them on site can turn them into timber you can actually use around the property.
Because the mill comes to you, there is less double handling and fewer trips to get the timber where it needs to be.

What to think about before booking milling
The logs – Tell us roughly how many logs there are, the species if you know it, and their size.
Access – The mill and machinery need reasonable access to where the logs are.
What you want cut – Let us know the sizes you need, so the logs can be milled to suit.
Timber supply – If you need hardwood supplied rather than milled from your own logs, let us know the sizes and quantities.
